I. In the Dawn of Time
Once the ice ages receded and the main human teams roamed the humid valleys of the Cantabrian Sea, the lands we now get in touch with Euskal Herria ended up by now a refuge. • In the Northern Basque State (Iparralde), the Duchy of Vasconia stretched through the Garonne River towards the Pyrenees.
• In Biscay, Gipuzkoa, and Álava, area lineages preserved autonomy amidst the mountains and valleys.
The Vikings attacked the coast; the Franks tried to control the Pyrenean passes; the Visigoths and later on the Muslims clashed around the bilbokoudala Ebro frontier.

IV. The Kingdom of Pamplona / Kingdom of Navarre
